Warsaw is in the middle of a real burger boom, from classic American-style diners to trendy bistros serving signature burgers with a Polish twist.
We have rounded up the capital’s best burger spots with juicy meat, fresh buns, and original sauces – in this list, everyone can find the perfect burger for themselves.
And if you want to broaden your food experience, take a look at our ranking of the best restaurants in Warsaw, featuring places serving cuisines from all over the world.
1. Meatologia

Meatologia in Warsaw has become a cult favorite for burger fans. Their Double Trouble with pastrami keeps people coming back again and again – the meat is cooked exactly to your requested doneness, and the combination of ingredients turns every bite into something memorable.
The burgers here are made with premium beef sourced from some of the best pastures in the world. What is especially nice is that even with this level of quality, the prices remain reasonable. Excellent craft beer is served alongside the meat dishes.
The spacious interior, panoramic windows, and modern design create a relaxed atmosphere.
2. Wół na Stół

Wół na Stół has been around since 2014, and it stands out not because of trendy branding, but because it gets the fundamentals right. The meat arrives in whole carcasses, so quality control here is not just a slogan.
The buns are baked fresh every morning. There are two options: a sweet brioche and a slightly saltier pretzel bun. The menu changes with the seasons, and every burger comes with fries, nachos, and coleslaw. Portions are large.
The chili con carne gets a lot of praise too. If you want more than just a burger, it is one of the strongest options on the menu.
I would recommend this place for a hearty lunch with friends. Not for a special-occasion atmosphere, but for straightforward, filling food.
3. Barn Burger

Barn Burger is a small place with a very clear vibe. American license plates on the walls, graffiti, music, creative burger names. It is not sterile and not boring.
What matters more, though, is the food. The burgers are made with Charolais beef, and they do not cut corners on size. According to reviews, the burger arrives exactly the way it looks on the menu, which is rarer than it should be. The bacon options are especially popular, and in general the combinations here go beyond the usual “patty, cheese, done.”
I like it when a burger place has character, but that character does not replace the kitchen. Here, the personality is there, but the burgers still hold their own. There is also decent beer – Koźlak gets singled out in particular.
There is one downside: if you sit upstairs, you can sometimes catch smells coming from the kitchen. Still, it does not ruin the experience. And the prices are perfectly fair for burgers of this size.
4. BykBar

BykBar is a newer food discovery in Warsaw, created by two enthusiasts, Aga and Jędrzej, in 2020. The restaurant’s main point of pride is its signature burgers with smashed patties, made using a special technique. The juicy meat is cooked just right, forming an appetizing crust.
The menu is updated regularly – every month brings a new burger with original flavor combinations. Portion sizes are impressive even for people with a big appetite.
The place quickly gained popularity – in its very first year, the BykBar team was already making burgers for a Netflix film crew and taking part in city food festivals, including Nocny Market at the central railway station.
In summer, guests can sit out on a cozy terrace decorated with hand-painted wooden boards – a special project created by one of the restaurant’s founders.
5. Smashny Burger

Smashny Burger has been a new force in Warsaw’s burger scene since 2021. Their signature technique gives the patties a crisp crust while keeping them juicy inside. House-pickled cucumbers add a bright accent, and the fluffy brioche buns tie everything together perfectly.
The menu is focused on quality: fresh meat, the right balance of sauces, and well-measured toppings. The bacon burger and the signature Original deserve special attention. Burgers are served with crispy fried onions and fries with cheese sauce.
6. Święci z Bostonu

At Święci z Bostonu, you will find burgers with an ideal balance of juicy meat, melted cheese, and a fresh bun, where each bite reveals a new layer of flavor. The menu also includes excellent vegan options that hold up well against the meat burgers in terms of quality. The fries and sauces round out the meal nicely.
Despite the small space, the restaurant has earned a reputation as a place people come back to week after week for some of the best burgers in the city.
7. Burgerlab

The burgers at Burgerlab are the result of a professional approach to fast food. The juicy roast beef brings out a deep, rich meat flavor, while the combination with caramelized onions creates an ideal balance. The parmesan fries have become one of the restaurant’s calling cards – crispy on the outside and airy inside.
The menu includes both classic burgers and more original options with unusual sauces and add-ons. The craft sauces are made in-house using original recipes.
8. Whiskey in the Jar

At Whiskey in the Jar, the burgers stand out for their juiciness and generous fillings, practically spilling out of the bun. The cheese balls make an excellent side. The owners do not skimp on portion sizes: each burger is enough to satisfy even a serious appetite.
The drinks here are made without compromise – the cocktails have real strength to them. Anyone ordering the wings should be careful with the spicy sauce – it can ruin light-colored clothing.
9. Między Bułkami

Między Bułkami is known for its burgers made with freshly ground beef and house sauces like aioli and chili chutney. The Polish Burger, with meat cooked just right, is their signature item.
The burgers come with crispy fries and refreshing homemade lemonades, which are especially good on a summer day. All ingredients are sourced from local suppliers.
10. Hamburger z Karaibów

Hamburger z Karaibów is not in the most convenient location, but if you are nearby, it is worth stopping in. The patties are cooked to your preferred doneness, from rare to well done, you can choose your bun, and the salad is served separately if that suits you better. The main thing to remember is that fries are not included by default and have to be ordered separately.
11. Pogromcy Meatów

Pogromcy Meatów is a place that now seems to be running more on its name than on the actual result. It is still a decent burger spot: the staff are friendly, without unnecessary attitude, and if all you want is to grab a burger quickly, it does the job.
But these are not the Pogromcy they were ten years ago. The menu now leans heavily into smash burgers, and not everyone even wants that. Especially when you are paying 40 zł for a burger that does not feel better than something at chain level.
There are also small things that hurt the experience. The fries now taste like cheap frozen ones. The bun is forgettable, the level of doneness is not always asked about, and some people have found small bits of cartilage in the meat.
That is why this place comes last on the list. Not because it is terrible, but because there are stronger options nearby in almost every category.
