1. Primitivo Kuchnia i Wino

Between Norblin Factory and Browary Warszawskie, you will find the outstanding Primitivo Kuchnia i Wino, a restaurant specializing in Mediterranean cuisine. It works equally well for a business lunch or a romantic dinner.

The interior is designed with natural materials – reclaimed century-old wood from old houses and barns, stone, ceramics, and glass. The color palette is built around earthy tones: green, brown, beige, and gray.

The menu is based on Mediterranean recipes made with local Polish ingredients. Guests especially praise the beef tartare and the baked feta with tomatoes and olive sauce. The wine list features the largest collection of Primitivo wines in Poland, complemented by other Southern European labels. The bar serves both classic and signature cocktails.

The restaurant can host up to 200 guests inside and around 100 more on its summer terrace – the largest in this part of the city.

2. Allora Ristorante

At the Italian restaurant Allora, chef Miłosz, who spent six years as the head chef at Port Royal, prepares dishes based on recipes he perfected while living in Rome.

The menu includes homemade pasta, antipasti, and desserts. Popular dishes include truffle ravioli, Milanese risotto, and tagliatelle with pesto. Starters feature bruschetta with tomatoes, peach, and stracciatella, as well as vitello tonnato. For dessert, they serve tiramisu and profiteroles.

The bar offers both classic cocktails like Negroni and non-alcoholic versions of popular drinks. Italian music plays in the evenings.

The restaurant is often full at night, but it is still possible to get a table without a reservation. The wait between courses can sometimes be longer than average for Warsaw.

3. Le Braci

Le Braci in Warsaw offers both traditional Italian cuisine and modern signature dishes.

Their pasta is handmade in-house. The tortellini with black truffle deserves special attention – guests highlight its delicate flavor and rich aroma. Among the starters, the arancini and parmigiana stand out. If you want a main course, the beef tenderloin is worth ordering. For dessert, the truffle meringue comes highly recommended – an unusual combination that turns out to be a real discovery.

The wine list includes a wide selection of Italian wines, including orange wines that are still rare in Warsaw. The restaurant also offers an interesting option – you can choose your own truffle for the pasta.

4. Chianti

At Chianti, the main focus is on a rich collection of Italian wines, including famous Tuscan labels.

The menu follows the classic Italian structure: antipasti, primi with pasta, rice, and gnocchi, and secondi with meat and vegetarian mains. Guests especially point out the tagliatelle with truffle sauce and the calamari. For dessert, I strongly recommend trying the tiramisu – it is one of the best tiramisus I have had in my life.

The interior is done in the understated style of an Italian trattoria, with painted walls and rustic touches. The restaurant works well for both friendly get-togethers and romantic dinners.

5. GRANO DURO

Grano Duro is a small, intimate Italian restaurant in Powiśle where fresh homemade pasta is prepared by hand every day. The menu changes weekly, reflecting both seasonal ingredients and the kitchen’s creative approach.

6. Amici

The new Italian restaurant Amici draws people in with its interior and original cuisine led by chef Dmytro Kalinichenko.

The menu features both classics and modern interpretations made with seasonal ingredients. The focaccia is prepared according to a traditional recipe, and the cocktail list includes the popular Pornstar Martini.

The restaurant has a children’s corner with eco-friendly wooden toys, which makes Amici a good option for families. At the same time, the service could be better – it can sometimes feel slow and not especially welcoming.

7. FORNO

They serve good-quality house wine and Italian Birra Moretti. The only drawback is that some desserts are made with Nutella, which moves away from more authentic recipes.

10. Nonna Pizzeria

At Nonna Pizzeria, located near the University of Warsaw, pizza is baked in a wood-fired oven according to Neapolitan traditions, which gives the crust its characteristic leopard spotting.

Their signature Diavola is genuinely spicy, and every pizza is built on a base of ripe tomato sauce and soft, melty cheese. From the bar seats, you can watch the cooks at work – they handle the tight space with real skill, sending pizza after pizza into the oven.

Among the desserts, the generous pistachio meringue stands out. The restaurant is small and does not take reservations, so there can be a wait – but it is worth it.
