And if Italian isn’t your only craving – check out our guide to Warsaw’s top restaurants featuring flavors from across the globe.
1. Primitivo Kuchnia i Wino
Nestled between Norblin Factory and Warsaw Breweries, Primitivo Kuchnia i Wino is a gorgeous Mediterranean restaurant that works just as well for a power lunch as it does for date night.
The space showcases stunning natural materials – think hundred-year-old wood salvaged from old houses and barns, paired with stone, ceramics, and glass. The whole place is decked out in earthy tones: greens, browns, beiges, and grays.
Their menu puts a Polish spin on Mediterranean classics, using local ingredients. The beef tartare is a crowd favorite, as is the baked feta with tomatoes and olive sauce.
Wine lovers will appreciate Poland’s most extensive Primitivo collection, plus plenty of other Southern European wines.
2. Allora Ristorante
At Allora, Chef Milosz (who spent 6 years heading up Port Royal) brings his Rome-perfected recipes to life.
The menu stars homemade pasta, antipasti, and desserts. Don’t miss their truffle ravioli, classic risotto Milanese, or pesto tagliatelle. Start with their bruschetta topped with tomatoes, peach and stracciatella, or try the vitello tonnato. Sweet tooths should save room for tiramisu or profiteroles.
The bar does great Negronis and other classics, plus alcohol-free options. Italian tunes set the mood in the evenings.
It gets busy at dinner time, but walk-ins are welcome – just be prepared for a slightly longer wait between courses than usual for Warsaw.
3. Le Braci
Le Braci blends traditional Italian cooking with contemporary flair. Their handmade pasta is the star here – especially the black truffle tortellini, which guests rave about for its subtle flavors and amazing aroma. The arancini and parmigiana are standout starters, and the beef tenderloin makes a fantastic main. For something unique, try their truffle meringue dessert – it’s surprisingly wonderful.
The wine list is impressive, featuring Italian wines including some rare orange wines you won’t find elsewhere in Warsaw. Here’s a cool touch: you can actually pick out your own truffle for your pasta dish.
4. Chianti
Chianti puts its impressive Italian wine collection front and center, with some fantastic Tuscan labels in the mix.
The menu follows traditional Italian progression: antipasti to kick things off, primi (pasta, rice, and gnocchi dishes), and secondi (meat and vegetarian mains). The tagliatelle with truffle sauce and calamari get lots of love from regulars. And trust me on this one – their tiramisu is seriously some of the best I’ve ever had.
The vibe is classic Italian trattoria, complete with wall murals and rustic touches. It’s great for catching up with friends or enjoying a romantic evening out.
5. GRANO DURO
Grano Duro is a cozy, intimate Italian spot in Powiśle where they make fresh pasta by hand every day. The menu changes weekly to showcase seasonal ingredients and the kitchen’s creative flair.

Must-tries include their spaghetti with king prawns in lemon sauce and the pumpkin and beef risotto. The desserts – especially the tiramisu and dessert trio – are all made from scratch. They’ve got some neat touches too, like a vintage 1920s Berkel machine for slicing San Danielle prosciutto, and they age their Grana Padano cheese for 24 months.
9. Spacca Napoli
Looking for real Neapolitan pizza with super thin crust? Head over to Spacca Napoli in Powiśle!
They cook their pasta strictly al dente, and their truffle carbonara is a big hit. The menu sticks to traditional Italian dishes, including friarielli – a Naples specialty you rarely see abroad. The tiramisu follows an old-school recipe that keeps it light and properly moist.
They pour some nice house wines and serve Italian Birra Moretti. Just one thing – some desserts include Nutella, which isn’t exactly traditional.
10. Nonna Pizzeria
Nonna Pizzeria, right by Warsaw University, uses a wood-fired oven for their Neapolitan pizzas, giving the crust that classic leopard-spotted pattern.
Their Diavola pizza brings real heat, and all their pizzas come with sauce made from ripe tomatoes and perfectly melty cheese. Grab a seat at the bar to watch the pizza makers work their magic in the tight kitchen space.
The pistachio meringue is generous and worth trying. It’s a tiny place with no reservations, so you might have to wait – but trust us, it’s worth sticking around!
